  Comic review

Umm how can i sign up my comic for a review? :3 thanks!

  Thank you for the fair review

True, we aren't the best comic in the world, but we do what we can. We are trying to get better, but we ARE just starting out. Thanks again, Loki.

"avoid being particularly dramatic about it, and lossen up... As far as I know, you don't die in real life if you lose at the game, and the world keeps spinnin'...."

A similar anime many would probably recognize known as ".hack//Sign" has a theme that's extremely dramatic, with the main character unable to log out and the whole "Key of the Twilight escapade"

Though, it's the concept and theme of the anime that's important there....

heh, well Pixel Wars has been around since one of the earliest showings of .hack in America (on cartoon network), and .hack//sign is a huge influence on it. I mean hey, its a cool concept, but unfortunately it -is- starting to become overused...

Someone do BaWaSoG or Mobius Zone, NAO! *SHOT*

Good review. I better damn be one of those good authors. >=[

EDIT: @The characters section, my character's a custom sprited, completely white bar the purple scarf cat who has a thing for signs. Is that unoriginal? xD

Whats wrong with MS paint? Ok, you cant get loads of fancy effects, but imo its better for the actual editing of sprites (I'm not trying to be controversial, just adding my opinion)

Personally, I prefer people to use Paint. If you can pull something off well in Paint, it shows a level of skill, more than the large number of people out there who seem to think if you use effects you can get away with not actually having anything worth adding the effects to.
(I'd like to note, I have nothing against people who use effects, I DO HOWEVER, have something against people who think effects are NECCESARY for a good comic, and that by using things like Photoshop they're automatically better than the people who use Paint.)

Thats just it; MOST MS PAINT COMICS HAVE NO SKILL.

Only on person is DisgruntledFerret. And that is DisgruntledFerret. Plus, MSPaint text bubbles usually look like crap. Effects are excellent tools, but they should NOT be used for a coverup in exchange for actual spriting skill.

Plus, I still use MSPaint for making sprites.

BTW, DisgruntledFerret is the author of MSPaint Masterpieces:

MS Paint is good for spriting, and depending on the comic, it is decent for sprite comics. If you're making a gag a week type comic or maybe a soap opera like comic, it works. If you're doing a battle comic or something where there's a lot of action, it would be best to use Paint.net or Photoshop.

I make BaWaSoG with MS Paint, and only add text in Photoshop for Anti-Aliasing. It is worth it. :P

@DOOD64
I would agree with your speech bubbles remark. Thats where MS paint is really lacking.

@robybang
I would also agree but only to a point, effects can be done in MS paint but it is a lot harder to get right (and 9 times out of 10 you probably are better with paint.net or PS)
